PVC Glue Fumes.\

I just finished re-doing my plumbing to accommodate a new sump and am wondering if I might have done more harm than good. I used PVC and glued all of the connections. My question is will the fumes that have accumulated in the pipe from the glue harm my tank inhabitants? I smelled inside a pipe and there was an incredibly strong odor. Will the fumes dissipate as the glue cures? My return plumbing actually runs all of the way down into the display tank so the fumes could be leaching out. I am really worried. Will it be safe to turn on the pump in a few hours?

You will be fine. i glued all mine and found later I had missed a return. I pulled it apart, glued it
and waited a half hour before running my system. No problems and this was 4 months ago..

I have had no issues with vapors. Whenever I do repairs, its slap and go.

We're very sensitive to them, but they don't seem to provoke any reaction in fish. I've had to "slap and go" as well, and there was no harm to the tank.
