Emergency kit and supplies?
Now that I have your attention... I thought a thread of what we should have around to respond to emergencies in our reef was in order? We have seen posts of recent of loss of power, tank crashes etc.
What should one have in our GO BAG to respond (yes I have a 9-1-1 background). We have living creatures that we are responsible for and need to have first aid to provide for them. It is not like we call 9-1-1 because my fish is needing CPR. I have a UPS, generator, charcoal, extra salt, water, spare pump, spare heater, etc. But would like to know what others keep on hand. And maybe some of us can see what others have so we can get better prepared. John

Rubbermaid tubs. Use them for moving but they can also serve as a "tank" in a pinch.
Lots of spare heaters and pumps. Good call on the QT Biggs, to keep mine "cycled" but not set up I keep the insert for my HOB filter in my sump. Internet connection so I can ask here if anyone has a spare ... (fill in the blank) that I can borrow

Thanks to the replies. All good info and reminded me of some items I had overlooked for getting started back up. And Dave, thanks, happy to be back. Working weekends for now but hope that to change and get back to the meetings.... John
