what worms are bad?
Ok I have asked on a couple of occasions on worms in the past and have been unable to get a good picture of what types of worms I might have in my tank. Is there somewhere that I can look that has pictures of worms or can someone tell me what types of worms are bad for my tank.
I also have little bug like things in my tank that I have been told are good, however the other night I turned a light on and they have gotten to be a decent size now probably close to a 1/4 of an inch long. I have had 1 anenome die and another start looking pretty bad so I am starting to believe something is bothering them. I have tried to take pictures of this and just have not been able to get one that you can make out what it is. |

gammarus amphipods, munnid isopods, harpactoid copepods.... all good bugs..... mysis... good too
cirratulid, terrebellid, peanut, bristle, spirorbidae <<< all worms >>> all good (except maybe giant bristles) flatworms with fork tail and red dot (sometimes whole thing looks maroon colored)=bad cirolanid isopod (fish lice) = bad anemones die due to poor collecting, shipping, handling, acclimation... lack of feeding, lack of lighting, and poor water conditions.... or... some fish/inverts can pick at them. that should get ya started... happy googling ![]()

would it be likely that AMPHIPODS could get to be up to a 1/4 of an inch and be in the sand also not just rock? I dont have to work tmw so I am going to see if it is possible for me to try and get a picture but I have had the hardest time getting a close up on anything in my tank

I seen to have the Acoelomorph worms on the glass. They are too small to photograph. They have a forked tail and orange head. Are they bad, and if so, how could I possibly get rid of them? All of my sps are doing great and the only place i see them is on the glass.

Yes amphipods get that big. They look like little shrimps running around and do go everywhere.
jcr6479 sounds like you prolly have flatworms. Check out the picts of them. kass |
