Any problems dosing B-Ionic two part in the long term ?
Anyone know of any problems there could be by dosing B-Ionic calcium buffer (two part) in the long term ?
I've heard of people talking about B-Ionic containing copper..is this bad ? My tank is 120g + 35g sump. |

You can dose it daily forever. I doubt very much that there is any copper in it. You might ask Randy on the Chemistry Forum.

One of the ingredients is copper. I haven't had anything bad happen and I have been using it every other day for 6 months.

I used it for 2 years on my 55, only problem is I had to keep using more and more as I collected more corals and clams and had to scrub the dosing cups as they calcified themselves. I used the gallon concentrated jugs and diluted with ro/di.

cost, I think depends on what you have and what they need. just keep and eye on your alk and calcium.
I have a 46g and have a decent amount of corals. I'm maintaining 15ml with alk at 9dkh and calcium at 400-450. I don't have any downside so far. been using it for a year. wait, maybe downside is having alot of corraline. gotta scrape the place you down't want it to grow on.

There is a much cheaper alternative. Randy's 2-part. I love the stuff and it's easy on my pocketbook. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php

I'm using randy's 2 part and its working great so far. Soo cheap too. I dose every day and so far Ive gone through about 1/2 gal of each. Now I've got to make the Mg solution soon.
