Problems with Holdfast Epoxy Item # 517345

I recently bought this product hoping to attach some Live Rock together in my reef aquarium. The internet description says " Can Be applied under water" This is completely false. The materials need to be dry and porous. If the rock is wet, the epoxy will not stick at all. As a note, the packaging does not say anything about use underwater, so this appears to be an internet typo on the F&S website. It does not bond anything that is wet.
Thanks

Pike614,

Thank you for your recent order, we apologize that you have had difficulty with this item. We are in the process of checking on the specifics for you. All the information we have states that this item can be applied underwater. This item is also listed to bond and cure underwater. We have contacted the manufacture of this product but unfortunately due to the weekend we do not anticipate a response until Monday afternoon. Please send us a PM with your information and we would be happy to contact you once we have received a reply.

I had the same experience with this product. It works fine if you
let it harden out of the water. But get it wet and it will not
bond to anything and seems to crumble apart.

F&S refunded my money, but said that they didn't have any trouble with it. I tried 3 times to get it to work, and there's absolutely no way this stuff sticks to anything once its wet. Maybe best for dry stuff. I'll try something else...any recommendations?
