butterfly fish

Hey guys i just bought a butterfly fish for my tank, they had a tank of mixed butterfly's for sale at my LFS and i liked one so i bought it before researching them, which i know isnt a good idea, so im wondering is there anything i need to be aware of with them, do they need any special care? he has settled in to the tank fine.

first off what kind of butterfly did you get? there are many, in this hobby the first thing i learned is to research everything you want to buy

Have you got corals in your tank?

Some butterfly fish are very difficult to keep and most will eat corals.

Please post a pic of it.
