Hydroplex and a cloudy tank

Just wondering if any of you have used Hydroplex to treat ick. If so, does it make your tank cloudy? I used it once before with some success in my QT, and if I remember right, it clouded a bit then. Anyway, I got a new fish yesterday, and after being in the QT for a couple of hours, I saw ich on his fins. I doesd hydroplex, and after a couple of hours, the tank looked like it had a fog rolling around in there. Now, it is a little worse, and the tank is very cloudy. Any ideas what is going on? All my parameters are fine. 0 ammonia, nitrite. Nitrate is ~2ppm. PH is 8.3/8.4. SG is 1.023.

None of the ich medications are useful or even necessarily safe in a tank. I'd start some water changes, and set up a hospital tank for the fish. You might be seeing a bacterial bloom, which might cause oxygen problems, but is likely to go away on its own without further trouble.

This is in a hospital tank. The only thing in it besides the fish are a couple of pieces of pvc for hiding, filter, powerhead and a heater.

And this tank has been up and running for months now and has been crystal clear until now.

Those article discuss the treatment of marine ich. I'd start hyposalinity, personally.

Since I don't know what Hydroplex is, I can't really guess what's happening.

ok, thanks. I have a refractometer on the way to me, and I'll be doing hypo from now on. I just didn't this time because I only had a swing arm hydrometer and I knew I couldn't be accurate with that.
