traveling with frags ....where's that TSA supervisor?

i know some people have attempted to travel with their frags as carry-ons

but the Nov 2005 article in reefkeeping suggests that shipping "damp" may be better

and i was wondering if i could do a carryon with a container that just had a damp frag in it....so essentially no where near the 3oz restriction, but the container needs to be bigger than 3oz....but just filled with air

the rule is not 3 oz in a larger container its "a container no bigger than 3 oz" my friend just got back from a trip & they lost her bag because they made her check a half empty bottle of perfume that was in a 4.2 oz container.

As far as shipping it in a damp container instead of any liquid being in it... I think you'd have to try it and report back to us.
