Mine dropped to a scary 7.6 - 7.8 every night until I started dripping limewater using Mrs wages pickling lime. Now it does not drop below 8 at night.

Whisperer, i use Kent Marine Kalwasser mix in my GEO reactor, should i switch to Mrs Wages? Do you really think the type of kalk would make this jump?

thanks.

It is true but you want to keep your pH above 8 at night.

I have no experience with a GEO reactor. Limewater is all I have been using.

I keep my alkalinity above 8. With the refugium lights on at night my pH actually increases sometimes from 8.1 to 8.2 in the morning. If your fuge is big enough and with enough light this is a great way to stabalize pH swings. This is without adding any Kalk, just be sure your alkalinity is above 8.
