Longspine Starsnail

Astralium phoebium (RÃ¶ding, 1798) Longspine Starsnail

Are these safe for the aquarium? I noticed them at my LFS and no one knew much about them. They are very unique but not very popular which makes me wonder if they are safe. I couldn't find much more on the snail so I'm even questioning if that is the most recent scientific name.

well i found out that the snail in question is just a different looking Astraea snail that comes from an area in florida. So not harmful and really pretty.

I went out and bought the smallest tank and a fish at the same time. Now I'm kicking myself wondering how could I have been so stupid. But I'm hooked now.
