Can you detail how you rinse your phosphate removing media?

Just want to know how others rinse their media. Be as detailed as you can! Would be very helpful!

Thanks.

I use Phosban in a Phosban reactor. I do not rinse the media at all. I just run the initial amount that exits the reactor into a bucket until the water runs clear. Usually only about a half of a gallon or so.

When I replace my reactor with new Rowaphos, I put the reactor in the sump as I do regularly but I put plastic tubing on the output and turn on the pump. The output is directed into a bucket and as soon as the water becomes clear, I remove the tubing. Very simple.

I also use Phosban in a Phosban reactor. I rinse it several times while it is still in the bottle, drain it, and put it in the reactor.

This is my method as well. I do a generous 3 gallons as it gives me an excuse to add some freshly made salt water to the tank.
