What's the difference between red, brown, green seaweed!

Trying to give my yellow tang the best diet. Been feeding nori, but ran across Red, Brown, Green seaweed salad food for tangs (Seaweed Select) is the brand.

Beside color, is there any benefit in feeding a variety of all 3 or is just one color good enough?

The more varied the diet, the better health your fish will be in.

Would you have good health if you only ate bologna sandwiches?

Just like vegetables, different colored seaweed/nori have different vitamin contents. Your yellow tang would also appreciate feedings of mysis shrimp, and if you have a refugium, try growing some fresh macro to supplement your fish's diet.

I agree. You can grow your own macros and feed little meaty bits. Someone forgot to tell my foxface and hippo tang they were herbivores. Between the two of them they'll demolish a siverside in seconds.
