Updated photos of my 180

well my tank is about 1.4 years old. It is an upgrade from a 24 tall and a 65 gallon aga RR tank. I have been keeping salt water reefs for 3.5 years. In keeping with the hobby I learn new things on a daily basis.
Tank specs
AGA reef ready dual overflow tank...180 gallons..72'x24x24
Lights---3x150 metal halide DE reeflux 12k bulbs and 4x96 watt true actinic. I chose the 150's as I did not want a chiller and keep mainly mushroom, lps, zoo;s and soft corals. I do have two BTA one rose who have more than adequate light.
specific gravity..1.025
ph-8.15-8.3
temp-79.-81 degrees
nitrates a tad high due to overfeeding
calcium 380
DKH a tad high at 12
bioload
powder blue tang 2years in my tank
naso tang also 2 years in my tank
magnificant fox face 1year in my tank
2-ocillaris clowns
1-lemon peel
1cherub angel
1-flame angel
3 anthiasis
1-six line wrasse
1 blue chromis
corals are assorted as stated above
2-BTA one rose color
I run ozone via aquamedic skimmer shorty 500. great skimmer in my opinion. not spoke of often but I think this works well.

Nice tank...keep up the good work! I want a Powder Blue soooo bad, but my new 180 is in the ugly phase. I'm glad to see you've had such good luck with yours.

poppin_fresh when you get one make sure he is last added. Mine is very compatable with his tank mates but if I try to add anyone else of color or decent size he will not have it. I did add the lemon peel after him but they are one tough fish. thanks. good luck with your tank

Wow, thatt is a really nice tank. Good amount of corals, BTW. It does not look overcrowded and appears very spacious and clean. You should be proud!

I use 12k feeflux 150 metal halide bulbs and 4x96 watt actinics. I change my bulbs every 6-8 months. I know they say you can use for a year but I think that is a bit too long.

Awesome tank!

I am upgrading to a 65. My next jump from there will probably be a 180.

thanks. I would suggest to just get the 180 if possible. You will save money in the long run. I was happy with my 65 for about a year. I love the 180.perfect size. deep enough to allow for plenty of swim room and long enough for the Tangs and foxface. I never come home and think wow what a great tank but I wish it were bigger. I did that daily with the 65.

If I had the room I would. Currently in an apartment. I am hopefully buying a house in the next year or so. After that I will get it.
