Refugiums What?, Where?, Why? Who's hot? Who's Not?

I am toying with the idea... Want to hear the pros and cons from the masses...

I missed the question. Are you looking for a manufacturer of prebuilt refugiums? If so, not worth it unless you need some sort of hob refugium. Make your own if your serious about one, theyre easy to make and definitely beneficial to your system.

I had a reef years ago. Took it down when I relocated, then I had a child, relocated again... and am now setting back up. The whole refugium concept is totally new to me.

There is a little search button at the top of this page. Lots of info out there.

Try www.melevsreef.com

A refugium is a place where pods can grow and develop in order to feed the other critters in your tank. Also, its a place to grow macro algae which uses up excess nutrients before nuisance algae can show up in the main tank........in short.
