Rubbermaid brute
I've been curing rock in a RM Brute for about two weeks, now that the smell is gone, almost, I'm going to transfer the rock to my new tank.
I'd like to then use the Brute to store RO/DI water, how do I clean the brute to store the water safely? Or should I just buy a new one? |

I'd just rinse it out and use it. You could wipe it with a bit of vinegar, too, if you want. If you're worried about the smell, some bleach will fix that. Then treat carefully with a dechlorinator.

Test the water of the curing rock for ammonia/nitrite before introducing in the tank.

It's a new tank, nothing in it at this point. I did not want to fully cure the rock in the tank because of the odor(Tank in main living area). |
