Hang on Skimmer or in Sump ?

I am getting ready to start a 90 gallon tank with LPS and Soft Corals. Should I go with a hang-on skimmer or go in sump ?

Trying to keep cost down that is why I am considering going with the hang-on over the in sump. Is the hang on as Efficient as the in sump skimmer ?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've had both and strongly recommend a sump. My hang on was for a 55g tank and I used the CS65. It skimmed okay but would sometimes overskim and drip water onto the floor (I checked it daily). Now I have an in sump for my 90 (ASM) and it skims better and cannot make a mess.

In sump without a doubt. They work a lot better and there are many many more models to choose from.
