spray painting a part thats going to be inside the tank

just curious... i have a 15g reef tank... and i have 2 Maxijet Aqua mini 606. I want it to create a more random flow because it basically just pushes water in a straight line out. I was going to home depot and buying some small diameter piping and fastening it on the end... can i spray paint the piping? Its going to be inside the tank and i dont want anything to happen. Thanks!

Every thing I have read on previous threads says that Krylon Fusion is safe to use in saltwater tanks. I have no experience here, just from research.

I usedKrylon Fusion with no problems. My Home Depot stopped carrying it and I found it at Fred Meyers.

Yes, I have used spray paint a lot in reefs, it sure beats buying black acrylic. I always use rust-oleum for plastic, if you buy the textured one than it covers better and you cant see the inevitable scratches as much.

Great question. I would like to jump in for a question. Does the Krylon Fusion gloss white get yellow inside a canopy with 475 watts of VHO lighting? Anyone!!!.

Krylon Fusion is designed to bond with plastic and to prep the surface you just use windex. Its a great product.

Wow, all posters in agreement, that doesn't happen here very often!

Just so I am sure, you are talking about painting parts that will be inside the tank, fully submersed, right?

Rendos, I was in Memphis for the Liberty bowl and my Cats last week. Beil street is KILLER. Great city -- loved the trip.

Don't quote me on this, but I've heard you can use Krylon Fusion. Not sure where I heard it though.
