Question Adding cured live rock to cycled tank?

I am going to be adding more cured live rock to my tank in the next week or two. By then, my cycle should be over. I am buying the live rock from a dealer that claims the live rock is "cured" and they are local. The name of the dealer is MrMarine. They are selling the live rock on ebay also. Do I trust the dealer when they say the rock is already cured and place it straight into my tank? Also, has anyone used this company? It is Fiji live rock.

how much are you adding? if it is a small amount it should not hurt anything. you said you are getting it locally. if so, transpo time is minimal so you might not have much die off on the rock if it is really cured.

It is locally. MrMarine is out of Longwood, Fl which is about an hour drive for me. I am getting 50lbs. What amount should I limit to when adding the rock to an already cycled tank to have no harsh side effects. You can check out MrMarine on ebay, I also am trying to make sure they are a good dealer. They are offering the rock for $2.19 a pound cured! It kinda sounds to good to be true.

Wow, $2.19 is really cheap. As long as your transport time isn't too long or you keep it wet you should be fine.

Transport time is one hour. Should I be fine with that as long as I keep it wet with no worries? That is what I said $2.19 WOW! Check it out! I will let you know how good the rock is once I pick it up.

i actually bought 200lbs. of live rock from mrmarine in september. he shipped it to me and it was good live rock. i put mine in and cycled my tank. of course mine had a lot of die off due to shipping. i would definitely buy more from him if needed!
