Exclamation Bubble King skimmer is overflowing out of collection cup?

I did some maintenance tonight to my tank, which included cleaning my skimmer, mainly the collection cup. When I was done cleaning the skimmer, I put it back together and then when I turned the skimmer back on it began to overflow the collection cup. Has anyone else had this problem, with a Bubble King or any other skimmer for that matter?
I adjusted the pipes of the skimmer but nothing is working yet. Any suggestions?

There is a red flange on the water intake of your pump. Turning it so that it protrudes farther out (counter clockwise I think) from the pump makes it suck in more air and less water. I had the same experience as you and found the solution by accident. Also make sure the air intake on the pump is not clogged with salt or debris.

Reefkeeper2 thank you! I fixed the problem and the skimmer is working great now. I took both of your suggestions and one of them must have fixed the problem. Thanks Again!

No problem! We have the same skimmer. I love mine. I can tell just by looking at it if I need to clean that air intake or adjust that little flange. After 8 months I took it out to clean it and the pump had nothing on it. No buildup, no calcium deposits, nothing. When I remember soaking impellars in vinegar and getting spare parts for the pumps on the other skimmers I have owned, I am so glad I bought this!
