Question Minimun lighting for coralline algea?

What is the minimum lighting that coralline algea needs to thrive?

Coralline should grow under any type of light, though IME it grows best in lower light levels. For my systems, I'm not so much worried about the coralline growth as I am about coral growth.

Lighting is not all that important for coralline it will grow in just about any tank with adaquate calcium. There has to be some present to start with for it to grow and spread.

I have noticed that corraline will grow best in high flow areas as well.

Yeah it doesn't need much light, I've had 2 tanks, one with PC's and another with MH's, the one with PC's had more corraline. It's more about your water chemistry.

I grew it under 20w of normal fluorescent lighting. Some of the thickest coralline I have EVER seen.

Different genera of coralline algae grow in different strengths of light. Some like strong light and strong flow, while others like low light and moderate flow.
