are these nice to have?

hydor wavemaker
i read that they will help corals spread and grow due to the better flow. i would like my xenia and gsp to start growing since i just got them. are these beneficial (minus the filterpad)

In my experience they are amazing and well worth the money. I would suggest one in every tank.

they may work in certain situations, for a short time, but i definitely disagree with you there.

they dont hold a candle to my 3000+ gph in my tank.

I have three in my 65gal. I like the way work, never the same flow pattern, but I do have to remove and clean them every couple of weeks or so.

They should work well in your 20H and are'nt that expensive. I say give it a shot.

I have one on my maxijet1200 in my 30g and like the way it works. I've had it in the tank for about 2 months now and have'nt had to clean it....yet, but I know its coming.

Those are just a total waste of time. I had 1 that worked for almost a yr. as long as I cleaned it every week or so.
