Aiptasia ate my peppermint Shrimp

Yup I happen to look at the tank and noticed that were the Aiptasia was I saw the antennia sticking out from the shrimp. So I am trying Lemon juice on it now...I got the shrimp to get rid of the aiptasia, but it turn the tables...

i think the shrimp molted unless you have a very small peppermint shrimp.

I am guessing a molt as well. Chances are the shrimp is hiding, as they do this after a molt, to allow their new skin to harden.

I've thought I lost multiple cleaner shrimp to an anemone only to find them a couple days later.

I also have seen this in my tank with my pep shrimp it had to be a molt. That would be some vicious aptasia.

I haven't seen any of my 6 peppermint shrimp in a long time. Fortunately I saw a couple briefly after the lights went out. They just hide all the time. Also they haven't impacted any of the aiptasia that I know of.

9 out of 10 times it's a molt.
Peppermint Shrimp won't eat Aiptasia if they have access to tastier treats.
