Giesemann Infiniti - Reviews?
Does anyone have experience with the Giesemann Infiniti (2 x 250 watt HQI 4 x 54 watt T5)?
The fixture is available from Premium Aquatics and is one of the few fixtures I’ve seen that combines MH & T5. I appreciate any feedback on this or any other comparable MH/T5 fixture worth considering. |

They look nice, but man they have quite a price tag on them. I was drooling over them when PA posted them last week.
I see you already own an aquamedic fixture. You know the new ones have T5's now right? |

Thanks,
I'll do some research on the new Aqua Medic fixtures but I haven’t had the best of luck with my aquaspacelight. - it’s 5 years old now - the Actinic no longer work - replacing the HQI bulbs is a nightmare - it runs very hot I started looking for a new fixture after hearing that this fixture has a history of catching on fire….. not sure how true it is but for me it’s the last straw. |

It runs hot because all the ballasts are inside on your model.
You can easily fix the pc's by replacing the ballast. All DE bulbs are a PITA to replace. You have to move the glass and then fight to get them out lol. I've got the same one as you, but the 150w version. If you order the Gieseman, I'd love to see some pics of it above your tank. It's very sleek looking. |

Check aquaessentials. Might be cheaper to ship from Europe? Looks top of the line from everything I've read.

Just a bump to see if anyone has this fixture and what their opinion is.

Also looking for reviews. Are there crazy transformers as I've read in some other posts in these fixtures? Or is it simply plug and play for us US folks?
