liveaquaria is awesome. I have placed at least 7-10 orders with them, and I have yet to have been disappointed. As a matter of fact, I just got an order from them today.
Be careful on ordering the WYSIWYG, because sometimes the coral might not look as good as the pic shows. I've been extremly pleased, but I take it the difference in the lighting makes them look a bit different. Also, to me, they look bigger online then they really are.

Live aquaria is the only place I use. Sadly I have never QT'd a fish from them and that's irresponsible on my part but guess what? I never got a sick fish ever! They have the best guarantee ever. Diver den is the best. Reasonably priced and they are 100% reliable when it comes to delivery.... I'm just saying

Ditto DDs (divers den, liveaquaria)--the best out of 3-4 other places I have ordered from in the past 5 years.

If you don't QT then Diver's Den is the place to buy from. Not saying that this is a replacement for a good QT @ home but I have found my DD purchases to have been 100% healthy.
Bluezoo Aquatics is another good vendor but I don't believe they have a QT process as thorough as DD. One thing to remember about Liveaquaria is that only their DD livestock receives the first class QT procedure. Their Cali stock is probably no better than anywhere else except they do have a nice guarantee and great customer service.

So far I've order clams, coral and fish from The Frag Farmer in Boca Raton and been very pleased with the service from Russ and Robert.

Liveaquaria is great...they are usually more expensive, but you won't have any concerns...
Blue zoo has nice people but they sent me several zoanthids that were dead and never revived...when they told me to dip in peroxide, I knew it was a losing cause...never recouped the money as they weren't to helpful with the refund process...not sure I'd buy from them again...not happy with them right now... I have also ordered critters from reeftopia.com...they are great and pluck their stuff right out of the ocean...got a really nice sponge from them and their peppermint shrimp prices cannot be beat...oh, and they're all really peppermints... I'm looking to order some stuff from reefscavengers but I don't think anyone works there...2 emails and never a reply...pretty bad, IMHO...

I order coral from various sites but the only place I order fish from is LiveAquaria (Diver's Den). You can't beat their quarantine procedures and guarantee. I've never had a fish DOA and have only had a couple (out of a lot of fish I've order over the years) die within the 14 days. For the couple of fish (a firefish and a red stop light cardinal) that did die, I got an immediate refund.
I did order a fish once from Oceans Garden Inc. and was happy. They had a species of angelfish I wanted and LiveAquaria didn't have any. The angelfish was shipped promptly and well-packaged. It was healthy and ate within days (unfortunately it died a few weeks later after getting a strange tumor...not the fault of the vendor IMO). I wouldn't normally order from Oceans Garden because they don't have the greatest guarantee but they seem to know what they're doing . |
