Lighting a 92 corner bowfront
Just got a 92 bowfront. Planning to downsize from my 180. In a effort to save money I'm looking to go with no MH and all tubes instead. I'm looking to hear about lighting setups from those who have done the same over a corner tank. Still want to keep some acros although it will only be in the top portion of the tank. Let me know. Thanks

get a 48 inch 5 bulb T5 unit from aquactinics, that is what I have no my 92 corner (36 inch version, 48 would not fit), works great. If you can afford it the solar flare (6 tube overdriven unit) it is even better.

OK well now I'm starting to soften on MH and thinking about going HQI / T5 combo. Anyone have any experience with the Giesemann Infinity lighting. It only comes in 24" increments. 48" is too long for a 92 bowfront. Anyone know if a 24" unit with 250watt HQI and 4 24watt T5's would adequately light a 92 bowfront including some SPS on top and LPS on the middle / bottom?

I would think so since a 5 tube x 54 watt T5 unit would be enough to grow anything that you would want.

I bought another stand to match the one I already had and cut it down to size.

What are your choice of bulbs for the MH and T5's? Your tank looks awesome.

The end result looks great. I hope that is an All Glass setup because if it is its the same one I ordered and I really like the look of yours. The website does not show the natural wood stand to its best. Have you had any overflow problems at all? This is the first system I have had thats drilled. Previously I built over the glass wall overflows.

RobP - You won't have over flow problems. Just make sure you have atleast a 10gal as your sump. I'm currently using a 10gal and it's just enough to catch all the water in case the pump stops. I also have a 20gal, which should fit well, but I haven't gotten around to installing it because I've been lazy.
Having the tank drilled is a great option.
