chalice coral requirements

feeding,lighting flow,etc. any help?

Howdy vtrider, I've found that the chalice is identified to be either sps or a lps. The closest I've come to ID is a Echinophyllia, also commonly known as Lettuce or Hedgehog coral. although I'm not positive on my ID, I treat mine as I do the rest of my LPS.
Middle to lower placement and plenty of current, I also use halides and actinics for illumination. I supplement ocassionally with Kent Marine Chromamax and this has worked for me.
Before, I thought that the chalice was " a face only a mother could love", now that I have seen it person........it's one of my favorites! Good Luck, I hope that you succeed if and when you get this beautiful coral. TinMan

I have several chalice frags and they do well under PC's and T5's also. They may change color depending on what light they came from though.

I keep most of mine in my nano under PC's but have a nice pink and green under T5's thats doing great also. It originally came from Randy 0 who has been keeping them for many years.
I think he keeps his all under PC's but not sure.
Ive never fed any of mine.
Just be carefull they don't touch other corals cuz there will be a stinging war.

I'm pretty sure I have way too much light on mine and not enough flow

I never really noticed a difference about flow as mine don't have alot in my nano and do fine. I do think most of them prefer low to moderate light though. You did'nt say what lighting you have?
If you think it's too much try moving it lower.
