first fatality

I bought a already paired up diamond gobies. They were doing great in the tank. Two of my favorite fish. They never left one another. Got up this moring and couldnt find one. Looked behind the tank and there he was. Jumped out in the middle of the night. I have never seen them go higher than a couple of inches off the sand bottom. Does any one know why he might of done this? Since they were paired up should I get another one? Will the living goby accept the new one if I did get another? I am so sad. Thanks for yyour opinions

I feel your pain. Lost my fish exactly a week ago to jumping and since they I am using eggcrate to keep them in.

Sorry for your loss....

I lost my first two animals this week, I lost a fairly large blue-legged hermit (he switched to a shell that was too large and wedged himself within a piece of rock) and I lost a trocus snail who got flipped over and I didnt notice. Neither one of those was as cool as a goby, but it was hard nonetheless.
