Snails getting stuck in live rock?
I lost a snail a while back because it had gotten stuck somehow in a part of the live rock. It was a pain for me to even get its empty shell removed from the place where it is stuck.
I am now concerned because it appears my queen conch has also become lodged in a hole in the rock. I can't even get it out. There's a small hole that is the perfect size for it, and apparently, it has crawled all the way inside it. I'm not sure if it is stuck or not, but it has been there for at least 5 days. I tried pulling the conch out, but without any luck. |

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Did you remove the rock or use a tool to pry out the conch or just left it in your tank? You didn't just leave it did you?

heh, I have one ancient snail shell wedged in a coral skeleton as a reminder to all the other snails. (also, I can't get it out, but that's beside the point)
you could "munch" off some of the LR with big sidecutters or assorted pliers to get the snail out. It is usually pretty easy to break up.
