To Plenum or not to plenum...that is my question
Hey everyone, what are your thoughts on having a plenum in your tank? Is it something that is useful or not?
I'm doing a 60G, and just added my salt to my RO water - and letting it come to temp and salinity before moving onto the 60lbs of sand and rock. But my tank came with a plenum that the previous owner used, and I was wondering what others thought of them. Thanks! Jeff |

There isn't any evidence that the plenum actually does anything useful. They can cause problems, but are unlikely to do so. If you want to do some reading, this article is a good place to start:

Hmmm, so basically it's something that I should put in there if I personally think it'll work
Thanks for the link. |
