Plumbing Question

I have an AGA 75 gallon RR. I purchased the overflow kit from AGA. My question is, if I want to do hard plumbing down to the sump and as the return, should I use the bulkhead fittings that came with the overflow kit and have the end for hoses? Or, should I buy two new bulkheads that can have pvc cemented right to it? Also, should the overflow down into the sump have 1" PVC and the return have 3/4" PVC?

Thanks for your help!

John

Yeah, for my AGA, I bought new BH'S and plumbed it myself.

And yes, the overflow is 1", and the return is 3/4".
