Dont skimp on an ro/di unit. I bought a barebones system back in the day and had nothing but problems with my water. I picked myself up a 60gpd deluxe maxxima hi-s and all my water problems have gone away.

There are a number of good vendors with a lot of people having success. Im glad your finally getting one...I remember the "old days" before I had one. What a pain! Anyway, take a look at the filter guys...Didnt get my unit there, but great service and they have good units. Also, Purely H2O as well. Like I said..lots of different ones with a lot of people having good success.

Depend where you put it, If you put it near a washing maching (hose adapter) or use a sink.
You can plumb it directly under the sink.

I got my 6 stage off ebay for 100 bucks a couple years ago. I've seen some on there that had 2 DI units installed.
