Need help for equipment for 75 RR tank
Hi everyone thanks for all the previous advise for my 29 gal. tank. Now that the upgrade is about to begin I need a little more help. At this time I'm rounding up the equipment I need before I start the project, then I will try and document and post pics as I go so others can see, since I have learned what a help that has been for Me!!!!
Equipment I have so far: ASM-G2, G3 to large for under stand: ![]() EH1262 Par reflector 16w/5100k bulbs for refuge which will be my 29 gal DIY Tunze 6060 30lbs LR 10lbs coral 75gal Oceanic RR tank stand and canopy w/ glass tops ro/di water system This is the stuff I have got already. The refuge will be may 29 gal. (which I still have to figure out the diagram and measurements on, I tell you were else could a girl have so much fun !!!!) that is up and running now. I still need lights, can't decide. Looking at 48" aqualight Pro 2x250w HQI/2x96w, Outer Orbit HQI 2x150 2x130, or Tek Lights either 4x24w or 6x54w????? Would like to have the option to have softies, clams and other things. Please help I want to do this right the first time. Any and all comments and pics are greatly appreciated!! |

i would get the Outer Orbit Pro Series HQI/T-5/LED Lights, 716 watt, 2-250 watt 4-54 watt 9 blue & 9 white, i have t5 lighting 8x54w, (not individual reflectors) on my oceanic 75g rr, coral growth is good, but there are times i wish i had more intensity for my sps, and i really miss the glitter lines of halides, i am contemplating purchasing this unit myself, what i would really like to do is have a new canopy made and put in a retrofit kit in it.

Thanks Eddie C. for your thoughts. All this is new to me and this lights thing is confusing. I'm just starting to read up on softies and clams and things like that. so knowing what lighting to get is a mystery to me. But I what to buy something that I can use with the hardest and easiest things to grow at first as I learn but be adaptable to more advanced things later, if that makes sense? Anymore help Please?
