Anybody ever use Seachem Matrix ?

I am looking for a solution to lower ammonia in my QT tank.

I already know waterchanges are the fastest way but I am looking for other ways to help keep ammonia down.

I had too much fish and not enough LR, started to use Seachem Matrix biomedia (Seachem recommended PondMatrix - larger size, but it's not available here) in a canister filter, after foam and filter floss - in a few days was much better. Then slowly added more LR, removed canister (too much troubles to open and clean every 3rd day - heavy fed tank) and now have Matrix in the sump in a small plastic backets - just in case. Also can be handy for an immediate setting quarantine tank.
No ammonia ever since started using it. LR will do the same, only Matrix is the cheapest I could find.
