need some opinions

I am going to be purchasing a 75-120 gallon tank in the next few weeks, and i was hoping you guys/ladies could give me your thoughts on who makes the best tanks. Still not sure weather to go glass or acrylic. Convince me one way or the other please. Thoughts on starphire glass fronts, worth it or not etc. Thanks so much.

I don't think starphire is worth it for a 120 or smaller. I think acrylic scratches too easily. I think AGA makes good tanks.

I would go glass and yes Starphire front is worth it. I have allways had acrylic and if you look close at the word Acrylic you will see the word cry and that is what you will do when you put a big scratch in it.

I have an oceanic 90 bow - no issues. The oceanic cabinetry is also pretty tight and well built.

Also, be sure to take the dimensions of the tank into consideration. It may even be far more important than the starphire glass decision.

I have a 90 bow which I love. However, it's archilles heel is that the thing is deep, deep, deep and fairly narrow at the ends. Getting to the bottom of the tank requies scuba gear

OK, its not that bad, but canopy has to come off, and then my finger tips just barely hit the bottom.

So, the dimensions of the tank will affect how easy you can work in it as well as govern how you can aquascape it. I find myself wishing my tank had more front/back room for display and aquascaping.

starfires are nice, also the 120 aga reef readys are nice, id go for the 120 rr aga

Both AGA and Oceanic make good tanks. Starphire front and sides is definately worth it.
Try to get to see a starphire tank beside a normal glass one and you will see the difference.

You will be spending countless hours viewing your reef through the glass....think about it.

I have a 90 AGA RR tank and it's a real nice tank. It's on the deep side in my opinion but that is ok. I had an acrylic tank before and didn't like it because of the scratching.

The 90 AGA's are a lot cheaper than the acrylic's as well.
