What kind of worm in chaeto?

I s this a good one or bad one? These worms seemed to be all over the place when I looked at the chaeto in my refugium when the photoperiod was dark.

Do they live in the LR rubble and then explore the chaeto at night?

Thanks

Good. This is a small species of amphinomid polychaete and a detritus feeder/ scavenger.

Thanks for the response. Do they usually live in the rock rubble, sand or chaeto? The reason I ask I currently have "mud" in the refugium, but I am planning to redo the sump/fuge and in the new edition I think I will have only rock and chaeto but no substrate

Thanks

Will

that's a bristle worm. They are very good scavengers. They come out at night to feed.

I just posted the same kind of worm! I guess I should have read your post first! Mine live in the LR and generally come out at night. I know most bristleworms are good but I was making sure these guys were OK. I think they are but was hoping for confirmation.

Tis a tiny bristleworm. Great cleaners. Don't pick it up with your bare hands though.

They'll live in all of the habitats listed above.
