I use the ER RS135 for a 90g with 30g sump and it does GREAT.

Euro-Reef will blow the AquaC away, imo.

I'd go with atleast the aquaC 180 for a tank and sump of that size. I have an AquaC 180 on my sps frag tank and it does a better job than my euro-reef and ASM. I'd get a larger pump than recommended though. I'd get like a mag9.5 or something equivilent. I have a quiet one 4000HH on mine and it works great. I think the spray-injector needs more pressure than a mag7 can produce. AquaC's are very quiet, built like a tank, and get very good reviews.
A Euro-reef would also be a good choice, but I'm not sure if a ER RS135 will be enough for a 140 or so gal total tank and sump.

I think either would be fine, but I would do with the AquaC.

No mod necessary, some people take off or don't use the gate valve on the skimmer, but put one or a ball valve on the pump outlet to adjust the flow. I didn't need to do this however. I get nice dark skimmate that fills a gallon container in about a week.

If you are limited in space, I would consider a PM Bullet 1. That is what I use on my 120 and it works great. In fact I also use it on my 135 with no problem.
