Problem with skimmer

Hey guys I'm having a small problem with my Coralife Superskimmer 65. This past weekend I took apart and cleaned all of my equipment including the skimmer. After reinstalling everything, all seemed fine. It was collecting some real good skimmate but today when I woke up I noticed that hardly any bubbles were coming up so i turned the dial higher, almost running wet. When I looked in the tank I noticed that small microbubbles were coming out of the bottom of the silencer and going into the tank. I shut down the skimmer and set it in the bathtub. Any recommendations on what I can do when I get home to fix the problem? Right now I'm running without a skimmer so I need help FAST!

I have the same skimmer, it works really well, but takes a lot of 'tweaking', especially when its new. it'll take a week or two to properly break-in, but i remember it was a real pain at first. anyway, try
1) checking that the airline is properly connected
2) checking the valve on the intake hose, try adjusting it, this is what conrols the amount of turbulence (for lack of a better word) inside the chamber.
3) playing with the red dial which controls how high the foam rises, and the dial on the intake valve. these 2 dials need to correspond, and the skimmer will work better

hope this helps

it sounds like it may be something with your airline. is it pinched or clogged? if it's pinched, it's probably gonna be bent at the point where it hooks up to the pump. like john said, you kinda have to mess with those things a little.
