PVC Cement Okay for Aquarium Plumbing?

Probably a very common question, but did not see it asked in any recent threads.....

Preparing the plumbing for my new tank and am curious if standard pvc cement would be okay for joining slip joints? I don't expect that the joints would hold without it...?

I have an existing tank I plan to move the rock, water, substrate, livestock over from once this is setup so livestock will be introduced pretty quickly...

Thanks for your help!

PVC cement is fine as long as you give it adequate time to cure before throwing it in your tank. hth.

Thanks for the feedback, I will assemble let it cure and flush it with fresh water a bit before placing in on the tank.
