Black Patches on Clown
Hi all!
Just got home from work and my two clown fish have got even larger black patches than yesterday. I don't think it's is black spot - patches are too big. Any ideas what it could be? They're both feeding great and swimming freely - looking pretty good actually. |

One of mine has the same thing - they came and went, and I was worried he had a fungus or something. After a lot of observation, I determined that he's getting stung by zooanthids, and sometimes the frogspawn. The stings cause the spots; when he makes my xenia his host, the spots disappear. I wish he'd hang out there more =)
Nothing to worry about, most likely.

Yep, just have two pussey corals, an ecrusted polyp rock and a toadstool leather. The toadstool is the latest addition and it's come on the clowns since then. I've only had the clowns for 4weeks mind you.
