One of those strange questions
I you had a large ball of cheato in a tank with no water breaking the surface hence not adding any additional o2. Would the cheato be able to give the water enough o2?

why not? Plants exchange co2 for 02 under water dont they?

Maybe for 1 fish but at night, they give off co2
