Remora Pro would probably work good and you can usually find them used in the for sale section for half (or less) your budget.

If you can fork out a few extra bucks and have the room in your tank, A Tunze 9005 Doc skimmer would work as long as you aren't going to be overstocked. Tunze doc skimmers are made to run inside of the tank and are very compact.

I'd use the Tunze DOC 9010

if you want a small powerful skimmer the tunze 9010 is great! I would go with the 9010 over the 9005 as it comes with the sump kit and it a better unit. Unfortunately it is a little over $325
For under $200 and still staying relatively small check out this: http://www.reefnut.com/reefshop/prod...roducts_id=111 I would not call it a powerhouse, but for the price and since you are putting it on a 65 gallon tank it should work fine, if you could finagle the room I would go with the classic 135 (the octopus nw110 or 150 would work well too). |

Yes, i'd go with the tunze and a remora pro is out of the question imo, they are terrible and overpriced.

for an HOB (or HIT?) the tunze is the best bet.
