Shrimp explosion..

So a few times now I have turned on the lights back on after dark (from 30 minutes to 2 hours after) and have seen hundreds of baby shrimp flowing in the current. I am thinking it is happening pretty commonly after I turn out the lights because I rarely turn on the lights like this, but have seen it three times (twice in the same week).

My chromis had a field day and I let him eat them all one night.

Anyone else observed this? Is it just mysid? I have a large population of them... but also a pair of cleaners and peppermints...

your shrimp are breeding. If you notice a blue area under the shrimp that means that they are the shrimp eggs. I have seen my shrimp (both peppermint and cleaner) give off hundreds of babies... My anthias go crazy! If nothing else a free meal for the corals and fish!
