hydor koralia how many and how strong

I wanted to get 2 or 3 of these for my tank. I just don't know how many exactly to get and what size I should get.

My tank is a 60g normal 48" long. Here is a picture of it. As you can see so far there is nothing other than rock in it. It just finished cycling and I want to get the powerheads in the tank before live stock. As you can also see I have one Sieo on the left hand side but being where this is really bulky and ungly I wanted to go with the Hydor.

I was thinking 2 #4 but is that going to be way to much for my tank? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think it's more of a trial and error thing really - depends on how much they kick things up when you turn them on. They do recommend that you have a flow of at least 30x your volume. So say for instance your tank is 200ltrs, and each Hydor #4 does 4600lph then 2 would do around 40x your volume. So I'd say that you'd be doing fine with that. I've also got one SEIO like you and a 48" tank. Gonna go get 2 #4s tommorrow and get rid of the bulky SEIO. Hope that helps, K

And remember that the 4600lph is at optimum performance, will prob only get 4000. Plus other users have said that the flow appear pretty "widespread", so the effect probably won't be as obvious.

If you think that seio is bulky, wait till you get the # 4. I love my # 3 but I would like for it to be a little more compact...The amount of great flow you get from them is worth the coke can look.
