Questions about an Invert-Only System

i want to set up a 46 gallon corner pentagon tank soley commited to breeding a few different types of snails and urchins.

i plan to add about 20 lbs of live sand, a 2x65w pc, a protein skimmer and only about 20 lbs of live rock.

my questions are:

would it be wise to add a damsel or two to produce some waste for the inverts to chow on?

will i have to feed the snails and urchins, or will they be self-sufficient in the tank?

just realized that the damsels would probably eat the snail fry

is there any fish that would be safe to add?
