acclimating to MH

I have had MH for about a week now. I started with several layers of window screen over the tank and every day removed a layer. I have had the layers removed for two days and now I noticed my LTA has hidden under a rock (he seemed to enjoy the light at first) and my staghorn acro has little white spots (pinpoint size). I'm only running the lights for 4 hrs a day..is it too soon to have uncovered the tank? What should I do

When I upgrade my light to MH, I put in about 6 layer of the window screen and remove a layer every couple days. I start to remove the last 3 layers every 3 days and everything is doing fine. FWIW - I upgrade from 96 watt of compact to 250 MH with 2 24 T5.

Unhappy

Should I go back to the window screen? Or is it too late?
