ANyone have a hang on skimmer?
I was just wondering. I am considering getting one. I had one under my tank before, but maintenance on it was kind of a pain and in the end it ended up a detritus trap. I was just hoping to grow some macro algae in it. I cant grow it in my display because my wife will kill me and my fish would eat it anyway.
If anyone has any experience, please feel free to chime in. thanks

AquaC Remora with the Mag-3 pump. you will be surprised in the ease of setting and forgetting except for emptying the collection cup. check em out at www.marinedepot.com, they have em cheaper than other places ive seen them.

you plan to use a HOB SKIMMER for a 90 gal tank?
I sure wouldn't do that. Maybe look at an external skimmer. |

I already have an ASM G-2. I am just asking about hang on skimmers. I am really just looking for a place to put some macro.

you may get away with a CPR backpack, or 2 of them. dule skimmers are nice becaus you can clean one of them one week and the other the next.
this one looks like it might do the trick

You may want to look into a hang on filter. That would the better for glowing macro. A lot of the nano reef tanks do this. Quote:

You don't put macro in HOB skimmers.

Look into getting a large aqua clear HOB power filter. Just remove the filters and place a light above it.
