Can you put a long bolt through it on the ends to be able to mount it on the top lid BUT ~6" down....then a bolt on top side of top lid??

I would use something like rigid airline tubing or something to run the bolt through to help support things but why not.

You mean run the bolt through the reflector and top lid with it inside rigid airline tubing? Then just the bolt and nut on top of the lid?
Thanks Grim!!

Yeah, I think you are tracking. Bolt runs through the reflector, then the tubing and into the lid.
