peppermints in refuge

I know peppermint shrimp are good for Aiptasia control, some suggest putting them in the refuge for this purpose

dont they eat pods and will therefore strip your refuge in the long run????

They will eat everything they can get their pichers on. Aiptasia in the fuge is not a problem to a lot of people, they encourage it.

If Aiptasia are in the fuge cant they easily make it into the display?

When Aiptasia are used in the fuge to prevent them from making it into the tank I'd use a powerful UV sterilizer. That should keep them in their place..
