I hope you can be me helping
Honorable Father has left me ( Fowie ) in charge of family aquarium and I have a small problem to discuss please.
Father explained to me that I must do water change on Aquarium after one week of his and my Mothers absense overseas. I did as he ordered and removed one half of the water from the aquarium. I then used garden hose and filled aquarium to same level with fresh water. I then realise that I forgot to add salt. WHAT TO DO! I went to kitchen and found Mothers electric cake mixer, the typw with 2 metal beaters. So I placed beaters in water and turned on cake mixer. It mad lots of water splashing and tornedo in water but I was then able to slowly add the salt that I had forgotten about earlier. Problem now is that Anemone was sucked up into cake mixer beaters and was chopped up into a million bits!!!!! Does this mean that many new anemones will grow from the pieces???? Any answers before Father and Mother come home next week appreciated Fowie |

I'm sorry I can not put any weight into this question. The only thing that keeps me from thinking this is a total farse is that FuKungReefer has been a member for almost five years. One of his other posts has a much better use of English also.

Only 3 posts since 2002?
I'd like to think that if he's old enough to stay home by himself while his parrents travel overseas, he's old enough to take care of his father's tank. Especially if his father showed him how and trusted him with his tank... This doesn't sound real to me at all.

Get a new Father and/or a new tank.
Your father is too irresponsable to let someone care for his tank with no idea what to do. Your tank is ruined. Now... I know this is probably a troll thread, but in the off chance that it's not.... |

haha wow guys i personally thought it was kind of funny. No need to get an attitude about wasting your time? What else are you doing on RC besides wasting time? Time to stop with the reef tanks and go on that long hard search for a sense of humor

Re: I hope you can be me helping
Quote:
If I was you I would start preparing. You're going to need some duct tape, a short piece of lumber as well as a hammer. Step 1: Duct tape your bedroom door closed. Step 2: Use the wood to brace your door (the anemone will be very strong) Step 3: Once the anemone breaks through your door you must hit it with the hammer square in the mid-section. If you miss he will keep coming, but if you get him he will collapse from the outside in. Now this will work but it's going to make quite a mess so you might want to get a big tarp to lay down in your room. Let me know how it works out and I wish you luck. |

You should have used the 'Saltwater Hose' out of the 'Saltwater Faucet'
Just drain the entire tank, and fill it back up with the saltwater hose out of the saltwater faucet and everything will be ok. Oh, and ps. don't lick the beaters while they are on...

Well I was going to write I came home and found my girlfriend was using my sump as a water bong and was going to ask what sort of carbon you guys recommend to clean up the water, not to mention what it had done to my Goniapora.
Anyway, thanks to the people who saw the humour and raspberries to those who didn't. See ya again in another few years Fowie Ng |

LOL! I'm new to this site and was wondering if anyone ever submits crap like this. Personally I would have chosen a blender over hand beaters.
