Raising salinity

Tried the search function wasn't working. My salinity is a little lower (1.023) than i want (1.025) Whats the best way to raise it without wreaking havoc on my tank ? Do i just add a little saltier water? Don't have a sump by the way. Thanks, Jeff

the easiest way I found was to top off w/ salt water over a few days until you reach the desired salinity. 1/2 cup salt to 1 gal water. worked like a charm and since it was over a few days there was not problems w/ the tank.

I agree, doing this gradually wont shock your tanks inhabitants.

You shouldn't have a problem raising it all it one shot. Any more than that and I would do it over a day or two.

Raise is slowly. Add saltwater to top off over the next few days to slowly raise it to the desired level.
